Exalted Ruler's Message

  Hello Fellow Members,

What a Great start to the new year. There were 4 local participants from our Local Hoop Shoot  Competition who participated in the Central District Hoop Shoot on January 15th. Although none are moving on to the State Shoot they were all very excited to have been able to compete at Cony H.S. for the Central Hoop Shoot and all want to do it again next year. All received certificates for participating and one  received a third place trophy. Great news to hear is that the Chairperson Andy Shorey and his committee  are looking forward to organizing next years Shoot Off locally.

  Our Chili and Chowder Supper went well with grand reviews from those attending on the great meal from start to finish. Thank you to all who took the time to enjoy the fine cooking from our fellow members and their families.

  Just a reminder we do need Officers for the upcoming year and nominations will be on February 14th.

  Please contact me if you are interested in any of the officer positions. We have had a great building year and now we need to keep it going. New faces with new ideas and energy is just what we need so don't be shy and step forward we certainly will embrace your help.

  February 14th will also be our PER Night when they will be initiating Sara Rock as our newest member.We have lots in store for February and March so be sure to check it out and maybe offer a hand to help. A couple of things will be our bake sales the first Friday of each month, our 3rd Friday of the month supper, Refreshment stand at the Men's Basketball Playoffs at MVHS and a dinner and dance to follow.

Super Bowl Sunday party

  Be sure to join us on Super Bowl Sunday All you can eat Buffet $5 per person food will be set up starting at 1:00 will include seafood chowder, chili, chicken and lots more come hungry and you won't be disappointed.

  There will be card games and pool during the afternoon along with drawings throughout the day. Looking for help to cook and set up please contact Ann White 364-7081.

Informal informational meeting

  There will be a special informational meeting on Tuesday, February 7  at 6 p.m. at the Lodge in the Bar Area like last year.

  This meeting is to review were we are as a Lodge and what still lies ahead for what needs to be done. Come with ideas and feel free to bring your spouses. This is not a Lodge meeting forum but a get together as members to see what has been happening since the special meeting we had last January. This is a great fellowship opportunity and ask that you attend and help with this brainstorming meeting.

Wednesday night food specials - 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

  Every week has: burgers (toppings to choose from cheese, bacon, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions), wings, chicken fingers, fries, hand dipped onion rings, pepper rings, and garden salad (fresh greens, cucumber, onion, tomatoes, dried cranberries, feta cheese, Caesar dressing)

Feb. 8: Hot Pastrami Sandwich

Feb. 15: Meatball Subs

Feb. 22: Steak Subs

Feb. 29: Lobster Rolls

  Volunteers are needed to help! If you are interested in cooking, prep work, serving, or cleaning up, please let me know. I would like to get together so perhaps volunteers can alternate so it is not always the same people feeling that they need to be there every week.
