Exalted Ruler's message

The year is off to a good start. On Tuesday, Feb. 9 we will be holding PER Night where the Past Exalted Rulers run the meeting and initiation. Candidates are Diane Hill and Marvin Bickford. We will be serving supper at 5:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Feb. 24, Bebe and Barbara Belanger will serve their famous pizza from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Come on down and enjoy a fun evening with pizza, drinks and friends.

If there is any member who would like to fill a chair, please let me know or see any officer. We need interested people to step up and help us in order for our Lodge to move forward. Please help us by giving us your help and time.

If anyone has any ideas for fund-raising, please come to a meeting or pass the ideas along to us. Your help is needed and will be greatly appreciated.

Ann and Jim White and Dick Welch are back in the kitchen on Wednesdays, so come on down and enjoy wings and burgers, sausage or steak sandwiches, onion rings, pepper rings and fries. The good is always delicious and cooked your way.

Meat raffle tickets available

The Rumford Elks have a meat raffle going on with all proceeds going toward lodge improvements. There are 100 squares available at $5 a square. Come in and make your purchase while they're still available.

Hoop Shoot results and thanks

At our recent Hoop Shoot, the winners were Abigail Mazza (Girls 10-11), Karen Flaherty (Girls 12-13), Alex Gorham (Boys 8-9), Andrew Cayer (Boys 10-11) and Caleb Gauvin (Boys 12-13).

Thanks to Sandee Welch, Debi Briggs, Dee Welch, Justin Welch. Jaclyn Torres, Richie Philbrick, George Wyman, Bob Laubauskas, Pat Gorham and Kati Mazza for their help. Also, special thanks to Greg Arsenault for letting us use the Mexico Recreation Center.

Caleb Gauvin and Karen Flaherty also finished first in the state Hoop Shoot held at Cony High School on Jan. 31, and Alex Gorham finished third in his division.
