  Exalted Ruler's Message

Summer seems to be flying by.

It's been hard to stay cool with some of this heat.

Fall may be approaching but we still have a lot of great events to have some fun at the lodge in the coming months. On Sept.10-11 we will be having a gaming weekend. This is all fun. Come on down Friday night and have dinner and play on the Wii.

Saturday we will have pool, darts and - after the initiation Saturday night - washers and dinner. If you miss this event, then make certain you leave room to come to the Lodge

on Sept. 26 for our Members Bar-B-Que.

This month we had our second lobster feed. Again, I'm very thankful for all the help of the volunteers who helped with the event. And I'm also very happy that no automobile damages were done!

I would like to give a special thank you to Mike for making the arrangements to acquire the lobsters this year for both lobster feeds along with the brave souls who helped and traveled with

him.

We also had a great time at our Soccer Shoot. It always makes you feel good seeing the kids put their entire effort in this. Thank you to Doug and the rest of the Youth Activities crew as well as some of the parents that volunteered to make this day go smoothly.

On a side note, the lodge is doing well. We have completed our audit for this year. We are also moving forward with new plans. We are making improvements to the building while increasing the number of functions at the lodge. We are even starting a second Bingo.

We still need help and we still would like to have more participation.

Participation this year has been great, lets keep going! If you haven't been to the lodge, come on down. Its alive! We even have a Facebook page!

Fraternally,

Larry Ashworth

Help wanted

The Lodge is in need of help in the following areas

1. Someone to replace the broken floor tiles in the Function Hall

2. More help at Bingo. We need volunteers for selling tickets, etc. just 2-3 hours a month.

3. A carpenter willing to donate time.

September 10-11 are Tournament Days

Come and play or come and watch. Pick your game of choice and compete for prizes or compete in all for the ultimate prize. Games include darts, washers, p ool and more fun games. Sign up at the bar. Dinner on both nights is available. Stick around for our winners celebration and music on Saturday night.

Members barbecue on Sept. 26

Lodge is open on this Sunday for a nice relaxing afternoon of fun, food, music and games. The grill will be going. If you like, make a dish and bring it with you for this afternoon of good times with good friends. Events start at noon and go 'til 5 p.m.

Hunter's breakfasts coming up

To all the hunters out there: Starting this fall on Saturday mornings during hunting season, the lodge will be open for breakfast. Come get a good warm meal in you before you go out to provide for your families!
